What is the difference between the cloud and on-premise methods of floating licenses?

There are two methods of floating licenses:

• Cloud method

• On-premise method

The cloud method is suitable when online license registration is possible on the PC using Next Design. Since there is no need to install a license server, you can start using it just by entering the product key on each PC.

The on-premise method is suitable when the PC using Next Design is connected to a secure network and access to the Internet is restricted. Customers must procure, set up and install one license server for each edition.
