Using your own icons
Next Design comes with a variety of built-in icons, but you can use your own icons in addition to the built-in icons.
Procedure
To set a custom icon for an entity in the metamodel definition, follow the steps below.
Procedure
- Select the target model or entity by one of the following steps:
- Select a model in the model editor.
- Select a model in the model navigator.
- Select an entity in the profile navigator.
- Select an entity in the class diagram of the metamodel definition.
- Click the [View] > [Pane] > [Inspector] toggle button on the ribbon to display the inspector, and select the [Metamodel] tab on the top tab of the inspector.
- On the [Metamodel] tab of the inspector, click the [Icon] selection button in the [Class] group to open the [Select icon] dialog.
- Select the [Custom] tab at the top of the dialog and click the [+] icon at the bottom to open the [Icon registration] dialog.
- Select the image file 1 to use for the icon and press the [Open] button to add it to the list of available icons in the [Custom] tab.
- Select the added icon and press the [OK] button, and the entity and model icons will change to the selected image icon.
