Overview​

Next Design allows you to use copy and paste with other tools as follows.

Copy and paste from external tools to Next Design​

Paste from Excel to grid on form

  • If you select rows in the grid and then paste, they will be added as models of the same type under the selected rows, and the values ​​will be pasted into the columns.

Add models to ER diagram from text in title list in bulk

  • If you select models in the diagram and then paste, they will be added as models of the same type as the selected models.

Add models from TSV text to tree diagram in bulk

  • If you select a model in the diagram and then paste it, models of the same type as the selected model will be added as siblings, and models with a hierarchical structure will be added in bulk according to the tab indent at the beginning of the row.
  • You can add them in the same way from Excel by indenting columns instead of tabs.

Copy and paste from Next Design to external tools​

Paste data from a grid on a form to Excel

  • The contents of the columns displayed in the grid are pasted into the Excel sheet.

Paste data from a tree diagram to Excel

  • Titles are pasted into the columns of the Excel sheet according to the tree hierarchical level.
  • If text is displayed in the body of the shape in the tree diagram, that text is also pasted.
