Use in offline environment

Introduction

If you are using Next Design in an environment where you cannot connect to the Internet due to security reasons,
I cannot register a normal license and cannot use Next Design.

Here, we will introduce how to register a license in an offline environment.

Next Design's [Offline License Registration] and [Offline License Cancellation] screens instruct you to send the file to the support desk using email, but if you use the offline authentication tool This allows customers to register and cancel licenses themselves without waiting for a file reply. The Next Design screen will also be updated to use an offline authentication tool in the next version update.

Usage flow

Use the offline activation tool [Offline License Activator] to perform the following steps.

Licensing operations that can be performed

The license processing performed in an offline environment is as follows.

• 1 After canceling the license using step No. 2, register the license using step No. 1.

About license renewal after offline authentication

If you wish to continue using the service, please carry out the license renewal process (No. 3) within the validity period.

Advance preparation

Install the Offline License Activator by following the steps in [Install the offline authentication tool].

Create request file

Create the following file on the PC where Next Design is installed.

• When authenticating: Activation request file
• When deactivating: activation deactivation request file

After creating the file, please Perform authentication process on the PC where Offline License Activator is installed.

Activation request file

1. Enter the following in the [Register License] dialog and select [Register Offline].

   • [Product key]: Product key
   • User's email address in [email address]
   

2. Click Create Activation Request File in the Offline License Registration dialog and click
   Generate the [Activation Request File] in any location.
   

Deactivation request file

1. Select Help > License Management.

2. In the [License Management] dialog, select [Cancel License].
   

3. In the [Cancel License] dialog, select [Cancel Offline].
   

   

4. Click Create Deactivation Request File in the Offline License Deactivation dialog and click
   Generate the [Deactivation Request File] in any location.
   

Execute authentication process

Store the files created in advance using [Create request file] in one folder.

License registration and deletion cannot be executed at the same time.

Store the [Activation Request File] and [Deactivation Request File] in separate folders.
Please run it in two steps.

When you start Offline License Activator, the following screen will be displayed.

1. Click the tab corresponding to the operation you want to perform (license registration/license cancellation).
2. Specify the path of the file stored in advance in the file storage location (①).
3. Click Execute.

When updating the license

Once you have performed [Cancellation of License], please perform [Registration of License].

Results after running the tool

The following folder will be created in the folder specified in step 2 above.

• Input: Stores pre-stored input files. Allocate as follows.
  • Success: Successful file
  • Fail: failed file
• Output: Stores files generated by the tool
  • For license registration, stores the [Activation Registration File].
    (File name: Reg_[activation request file name])
    
  • Please distribute the corresponding activation request file to the output PC.
    

If the authentication operation fails

The log of failed operations will be displayed on the screen as shown below.

Check the content of the error and take corrective action.

You can select the error location and copy it to text.

• Contents of the error message (please paste it into text and send it to us)

Notes on sending files

• The user registrant should coordinate and carry out the process.
• It may take some time for us to provide you with the information.

Execute license registration process

Please perform the following operations on the PC where Next Design is installed.

1. Specify the Activation Registration File in the Offline License Registration dialog.
2. Click Register.

This operation is not required when canceling the license.
