Profile protection

Overview

Next Design allows you to protect profiles by disabling profile editing on a project-by-project basis to prevent unintentional profile changes during project editing.

Protect your profile

To protect a profile for the project you are editing, do the following:

Operation procedure

1. Click Profile > Access Control > Protect from the ribbon.
2. In the Profile protection dialog, enter a password if required.
3. Pressing the [OK] button disables all of the following operations.
   • View and modify metamodels
   • change view definition
   • Profile export and import
4. To remove profile protection, click Profile > Access Control > Unprotect from the ribbon and enter the password if required.
