Preparing to use DC Agentiqs

Overview

• DC Agentiqs brings AI assistance to Next Design, supporting design reviews, completeness checks, profile definition, and more. This helps streamline and improve design work in Next Design.
• The DC Agentiqs chat window is integrated into the Next Design UI, allowing you to use AI seamlessly without switching tools during design work.

Configuring DC Agentiqs

To use DC Agentiqs integration with Next Design, complete the following steps:

• Install the extension in Next Design
• Install DC Agentiqs
• Configure DC Agentiqs

Installing the Next Design extension

Install the following extension in Next Design:

• NDInterop

Installation procedure:

1. Start Next Design.
2. Click File > Manage Extensions to open the Manage Extensions dialog box.
3. Select the extension to install.
   Tip: Enter a keyword in the search box in the upper-right corner of the dialog box to display extensions whose package name or description contains the keyword.
4. Click Show all next to the Version label, and select the version to install.
5. Click Install.
6. Restart Next Design after installation.

Installing DC Agentiqs

First, install DC Agentiqs V1.0.1 or later. For details about DC Agentiqs, see the DC Agentiqs manual.

Configuring DC Agentiqs

This feature uses the DC Agentiqs settings. See the DC Agentiqs manual and configure the following:

• Workspace
• Agent
• LLM model
• Knowledge

Next, configure the agent to use in Next Design.
On the DC Agentiqs agent settings screen, select the Use in Next Design chat checkbox to make the agent available in Next Design.
