The order of diagram headings and figures is reversed when exporting a document in Word format.
Phenomenon
When exporting a document containing a diagram in Word format, the order of the "section heading" and "figure" in the part where the diagram is exported may be reversed, and figures that should be displayed below the heading may be displayed above the heading.
Cause
If the Word file is in a document format up to Word2010, it is likely that the figures are not displayed in the intended position due to the layout processing of figures by Word.
Solution
Follow the steps below to save the document format of the exported Word file in Word2013 or later.
- Open the exported Word file in Word2013 or later.
- From the menu, select [File] > [Save As].
- In the [Save As] dialog, uncheck [Maintain compatibility with previous versions of Word] and click the [Save] button.
- A confirmation message will appear stating that the file will be upgraded to the latest file format, so click the [OK] button to save.
If you re-save the Word file using the above steps, the layout of the figures will be updated and they will be displayed in the intended order.
Note that the Word file upgraded using the above steps can also be opened in Word 2010, but the problem will not be resolved. Please use Word 2013 or a later version.
