Design Guide

Overview

This guide introduces the basic usage of the embedded software development base package.

It explains how to efficiently proceed with design by understanding the overall picture of the software development process and deliverables, and utilizing the views and extensions provided for each use case.

Two ways to use it
  • This package includes a set of metamodels (structure definitions) and view definitions (representation methods) necessary for digitalization as a profile required at the start of a project. You can start designing immediately by using this as is.
  • You can also limit the processes and deliverables to which this profile applies, or customize (tailor) it to suit your company's processes and target domain before use. For information on customization methods, please refer to the Customization Guide.
Prerequisites

This guide assumes you understand the basic concepts and operations of Next Design, as outlined in the following manuals.

If you are unfamiliar with any terminology or operations, please refer to these manuals.
